Where is the best place to position a ULT ?
The ideal location is out of direct sunlight, a draught-free, low humidity environment. The floor should be as level as possible and the freezer should preferably stand in a low through traffic area. If possible, corridors, or other high traffic areas should be avoided.

What are the advantages of upright ULT's ?
Space saving.
Easy access to the inventory and the samples. Independent compartments, each with its own, double insulated inner door. This minimises temperature fluctuations when the main door is opened, protecting your samples and decreasing compressor usage.
Optional 5th inner door, if required.

Can a 5th inner door be added to the upright ULT' ?
Yes, but must be specified on the order. The 5th inner door cannot be retrofitted.

Yes. All our freezers are fitted with heavy duty castors.

Are the freezers easy to install ?
Yes. Although we recommend that the freezer is installed by a trained technician, the units can also be user-installed. The freezer needs to be positioned, levelled and plugged into the mains.
The operating parameters are then set through the controller.

A hot gas halo around the entire door prevents frost build up on the inner door seal.

What protection is there against power surges ?
Both series are fitted with circuit breakers which protect the microprocessor controller, compressors and other electrical components. In addition to this, the Prime series is fitted with a Voltage Surge protector which is designed to flatten voltage spikes.
